CREATE YOUR OWN "RUN" COMMANDS IN WINDOWS PC

Microsoft Windows is the most widely used operating system around the globe. Not only, it is simple to use, but also, it is a multipurpose operating system with lots of features with an interactive user interface.
"Run" command in windows OS, allow us to get access to any file or application whose path is known, with just 1 short command. It saves your precious time as rather than exploring the folders and subfolders to reach the file, you can open any program instantly by using a single run command.

Most of the people usually make desktop shortcuts of important programs, so that they can access them easily whenever they want, but this makes their desktop look weird. It is the problem of most of the users that is why I decided to write and share an alternative way to open any file or application of your choice with just 1 line run command.

There are hundreds of  default "Run commands" to open various applications and utilities, but you can also create your own custom run commands to open any specific program or file.

STEPS FOR CREATING YOUR OWN RUN COMMANDS :-

1. Firstly, select the program or application for which you need to make your own run command.
   For eg.  I am taking an example of "Skype" , to make you understand easily.
2. Right click anywhere, on the desktop.
    Right click >> New >> Shortcut
   
   
3. After you select the "Shortcut". A dialogue box will get open, in that dialogue box, specify the path of the application (.exe file) [note:- The default location of all the installed application is under program files in C Drive.
   
   
   
   
4. Once you have provided the path, click the "next" button to give an easy and short name of your choice. (Eg. I have given name "scp" for skype )
   
    
   
   
5. Now you have created the shortcut of the program. Cut the shortcut from desktop and paste into the "Windows" folder under C drive.
    C>>windows>>
6. You are done with the setup. Open "Run" and type the keyword  "skp" and hit Enter. "Skype" will get launched.
